Third Meeting of the Parties to the Aarhus Convention

The third meeting of the Parties to the Aarhus Convention will take place in Riga, Latvia, on 11-13 June 2008. The third meeting is expected to review the achievements over the first ten years and to adopt a long-term strategic plan for the Convention.
It will also provide an opportunity to review the progress achieved in the convention’s implementation and efforts to build capacity among its Parties and Signatory States. The high-level segment of the meeting will take place on Friday, 13 June 2008, and is expected to culminate in the adoption of the Riga Declaration.

Austria presents first implementation report on Aarhus Convention

The Aarhus Convention celebrates its 10th birthday in 2008. On the occasion of the third meeting of the Parties to the Aarhus Convention in Riga, Latvia, on 11-13 June 2008, Austria will present the Aarhus implementation report 2007.
